This past October I had the privilege to participate in the Hack the Gap Hackathon. I’ve participated in years past, and like always, it was a great experience. I learned new skills and gained confidence and had a ton of fun!
My team worked on an app that encourages people to recycle. We made a PWA using REACT. This was something I have never had the chance to play around with and I found myself catching on quickly. Plus it didn’t hurt that there were experts on my team that encouraged me the whole time.
In the end, we ended up wining 3rd place in the hackathon. That was the icing on the cake. For me, the most important thing was to learn something new and have fun. Those goals were definitely achieved.
